Biography
Yael offers a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative space for individuals, couples, and families seeking support through life’s challenges. Drawing from mindfulness-based, psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed approaches, she helps clients explore where they feel stuck and gently supports them in moving toward healing, clarity, and sustainable change.
Yael has experience working with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, family trauma, perfectionism, self-esteem, and relationship issues. Her integrative style combines psychodynamic, Gestalt, somatic, narrative, and anti-oppressive frameworks. While she brings clinical knowledge and experience, Yael believes you are the expert in your own life—and therapy is a space where your voice, needs, and insights can be fully honoured.
With over a decade of experience working with individuals, families, and children in multicultural community settings, Yael brings deep sensitivity to the complexities of identity, belonging, and systemic influences on mental health. As an immigrant with a multicultural background, she is especially attuned to the emotional toll of feeling different or misunderstood - whether due to cultural background, neurodivergence, family dynamics, health concerns, or existential questioning. She works to name and normalize these experiences, helping clients feel less alone and more empowered to live authentically.
Yael’s clients often come to her carrying emotions like shame, guilt, grief, anger, or loneliness—feelings that our achievement-focused culture tends to dismiss. Together, she helps clients listen to the wisdom behind these emotions and uncover the deeper truths they may hold.
