Healing

through

Interconnection

What are we if not our relationships?

Letter from kerry

More than sessions or interactions, our practice is a partnership, an intentional community, an act of service, a circle of support, where every person feels held, seen in their pain, safe to take risks, supported to go deep.

And yes, this work goes deep, into that marvellous, mystifying, tangled web of stories that makes us who we are. An interconnected ecosystem of relationships, identity, and ideas.

The work of therapy is not to create a carefully manicured psyche but to restore equilibrium,
Or at least, come as close as we can.
There may be some weeding or detangling, some clearing out of dead wood,
But the work lies in seeing the systems that serve us
Or don’t.
In understanding the complex interactions
that shape us so that we may shape them,
Tending to the inner life so we may thrive in the outer.

We are meaning-making, pattern-recognizing, connection-craving beings.
No part of us stands alone.
No pain exists in isolation.
Therapy is the work of connection.
Healing happens in relationship.

And where better to practice this than in our practice?
Where one client’s journey facilitates the start of another’s, Where an investment in ourselves is an investment
in another, Where one small step of commitment can ripple out in ways we could never have imagined.

When we heal, others heal.

Our model is one of attachment and reciprocity.
Through uplifting ourselves, we uplift the whole,
Growing in mutual support.
Less codependence. More healthy interdependence.

After all, we are creatures of belonging.
Creatures of hope.
Growing through connection.
Healing through interconnection.
