Biography
I am a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and couples across a wide range of ages, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I have pursued extensive post-graduate training in play and art therapy, Somatic Experiencing®, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and depression, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eating Disorders treatment.
My clinical work is grounded in compassion, mindfulness, and practicality. I specialize in helping people move through anxiety, trauma, and relationship struggles to reconnect with their resilience and capacity for meaningful change.
Many of the individuals I work with experience anxiety so intense it interferes with their daily lives. Together, we explore the root causes—often grounded in unresolved trauma—and work toward developing effective, sustainable coping strategies. Using a somatic and evidence-based approach, I support clients in reducing the emotional and physical burden of anxiety and regaining a sense of ease and control.
I have a deep appreciation for working with couples and individuals navigating relational challenges. Whether you’re in the midst of a relationship crisis, struggling to connect, or carrying the weight of past relationship trauma, I offer a supportive space to help you build healthier, more fulfilling connections. We’ll explore communication patterns, emotional and sexual intimacy, and the underlying dynamics that may be keeping you stuck—so you can move toward the kind of relationships you truly want.
I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space for individuals struggling with disordered eating, body image concerns, and the complex emotions that often accompany them. I understand that eating disorders are not just about food—they are often rooted in deeper issues such as anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, or a need for control. Using a holistic and trauma-informed approach, I help clients reconnect with their bodies, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build a healthier, more compassionate relationship with food and self. Whether you’re navigating recovery for the first time or seeking support after relapse, I’m here to walk alongside you with care and respect.
Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded in trust. Many clients come in knowing why they feel stuck but struggle to create meaningful change. My goal is to help you move beyond insight into action, and to support you in finding greater clarity, healing, and fulfillment.
